An Olympic-sized swimming pool in its own building was built in this building in 1968 with funding from a seminarian's family. The Carole Ann Wald Swimming Pool was then dedicated, named for the sister of the student. The pool was later opened to the public until it closed due to irreparable damage in December 2009. At this time, the pool is still a work in progress, but the owners of The Lodge have a wonderful vision to reimagine the beloved community icon into a new space that can be enjoyed for years to come.
